Scorching Hot - The Great Fire of Gateshead

Join us to learn about the Great Fire of Gateshead and how it impacted St Mary's Heritage Centre. Lots of fun to be had for all ages including hunt for the scorched stone and find the 13 flames hidden around the beautiful building. All St Mary's stained glass windows were lost in the fire so you can also help us design new windows and make your own stained glass windows in tissue paper to take home and hang in your own window. 

This event is suitable for families and is free - just turn up!

Guided activities take place between 10am - 12pm, St Mary's will be open until 4pm self-guided activities.
